It has been two days since the mysterious skeleton cloud was spotted drifting over Shufflebug Forest — and Pumpkin Isles has been buzzing with theories ever since. Who could be behind such a spooky spectacle?
Then, on Thursday morning, Bingo broke the silence.
"It was Skeloboy," the blue wolf announced, ears flat and eyes serious. "I'm sure of it."
Pupkin's eyes went wide. Skeloboy — the most mischievous, most mysterious figure in all of Pumpkin Isles — was behind the skeleton cloud? It seemed almost too bold, even for him.
But Bingo was already heading for the door.
Together, Pupkin and Bingo made their way across the Shufflebug meadows, past the glowing firefly fields, and up the winding stone path to Skeloboy's Castle. The iron gates creaked open as if expecting them. The torches flickered. The shadows danced.
"This feels like a trap," Pupkin whispered.
"It's fine," said Bingo. "Skeloboy never leaves traps."
They stepped inside.
The gates slammed shut behind them rapidly.
